i'm looking forward to being back in this space more regularly now that i've made it through the whirlwind month that was june. i'm amazed to have made it to the other side without another eyepatch. don't know how i did it, but here we are. there are tales to tell, recipes to share, general catching up to do. i've missed it here. to all who stuck around - thanks! to all who are visiting once again, or for the very first time - welcome!
it is just gorgeous! i just bought a top that is somewhat similar, now I can't wait to try and make one. :) The fabric is just perfect as well.

I love it! I was thinking I'm going to need some nursing tops, and that neckline looks great. I have to admit, I'm a little daunted by trying to figure out the sizing. (I'm on the scrawny side when not pregnant, and making my own adjustments is new to me.) But, heck, if I get it wrong there will be someone who can wear it and I'm out a couple hours of time. Now, I'm going to go look at the fabric you suggested again, so I can figure out if I should be using a knit or woven!

Welcome back! Excellent timing, mama! I just had my baby and have been living in a top similar to this (since it hides that awkward postpartum tummy) and undaunted is perfect. I've never made clothes for myself, but your pattern and the photos have made me brave. Thank you!

Question - do you need a special needle for using elastic thread?
