The idea for this hat came about years ago when my daughters first tiptoed around the house as little detectives. Inspired by Sherlock Holmes' original chapeau, this knit cap appears complicated, but is actually quite simple to make. PDF includes 4 pages of step-by-step instructions, full color images to demonstrate pattern specifics, yarn recommendations. This piece is knit top-down in the round on double pointed needles with only the slightest bit of seaming it will be off the needles and on your kiddo in no time!
You'll need 2 skeins of Spud & Chloe Sweater (or about 320 yards of other worsted weight yarn) + one set of five US 8 (5mm) double-pointed needles.
Finished size fits most children up to age 10.
