Hello again, my friends! For over 7 years this space has been a form of creative expression and experimentation, and I have truly enjoyed sharing all of this with you. Life has ups and downs, and while I am all about celebrating the highs, sometimes it is necessary to step back, regroup, breathe and listen. Ah yes, listening is so very powerful. Really listening beyond the words and hearing what is being said, as well as tuning in to one's self is a practice I vow to be more mindful of in this next part of my life. I am happy to be here with the intention is carve out something special once again. This is something to work toward, something deeply personal, and yet something so very collaborative.
This year I invite you to join me on a 365-day journey through song.
When words + music are combined to create song, the results resonate far beyond what the composers could have intended, and even imagined. What YOU feel while hearing a certain song is very different from my experience, or that of anyone else for that matter. Each internal conversation and reaction is valid, very personal, unique and pure. Lyrics may trigger specific memories, or simply cause us to ponder what meaning those words in that combination may affect in the right here right now of our lives. The feelings are real. There is no right or wrong.
I bet you think this song is about you.
You know what? It is.
Tap into what is evoked within YOU by a few simple words. xoxo
