it's been a few months since i moved into my studio space and it's about time i invited you in!
the building is well over a century old, and is actually made up of two structures. there are over a half dozen offices on two floors, and my space is probably the smallest of the bunch - it's on the front, on the corner, and looks onto the street care of a sweet little brick courtyard surrounded by... wait for it... a white picketed fence. we are a block off the triangle in the historic village of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and within walking distance of everything which was important to me during my search for a studio space. just a 5 minute walk to just about anything one needs in a little town. there is lots of natural light which makes for an inspiring workspace, and there are all sorts of charming bits about the space that i love.
YOU : enough chit chat, jennifer. show us the space!
ME : come on in!
we enter the front door to a small vestibule area. here is where i display some current work as well as swap out my street shoes for studio shoes. (studio shoes are my 20+ year old birkenstocks which the mister hates but are super comfy for working = hello, studio shoes!)
once in this vestible, there is another door which opens to my studio proper. have a look around.
now i know everything is blurry and all, but that was intentional. not because i have something (or things) to hide, but rather because i wanted to truly show the space. had these images been more sharply focused, you would have most likely seen the stuff rather than the space itself. i'll have some closeups to share soon. in the meantime, welcome!
and if you're ever in northeast ohio and want to stop by, give me a holler. xoxo
