it had been another in a recent series of long days in front of the computer screen. between frequent interruptions topped with a dollop of mama guilt for viewing said visits as interruptions, i finally threw in the towel and let them drag me outside. i brought along a few extra balloons i had lying around from a project that had me stumped earlier in the day. the simplicity of tossing them about, chasing after them in the late spring breeze, and hearing the giggles of my kiddos was pure bliss. i am glad they persisted until they were able to reach me. i am glad they made me play. i am glad i listened to my little teachers.
