last weekend, we had a little cocktail party. and in true craft blogger form, i decided that the day of was the appropriate time to tackle some of the updating projects that needed doing. and i wasn't about to put them off another day.
enter new chair covers with a high five to self for having the forethought a year ago to buy an extra orla kiely tablecloth and set it aside for "someday" - apparently someday was last saturday.
and because i just couldn't stand our pillow covers anymore, enter one new pillow that is extra squishy and finally makes proper use of that tree fabric in a way that highlights how amazingly cool it is.
one simple sandwich of batting + muslin with a little free-motion quilting around each tree, then a machine sewn binding to the back which has a slot to insert the pillow form and some vintage trim ties.
let's not talk about the other pillow that is lying on the floor of my studio - it'll get done soon enough. instead, i'd rather hear about your most recent makeover. i know i am not the only one who makes these last minute spruce-ups.
