in an effort to avoid "the sick" that hit the house over the weekend (Christmas night, to be precise), we've confined ourselves at home the past few days. not being one to sit still all that often, i made good use of the time.
day one meant taking down the holiday decorations and making room for handmade winter decor (projects in due time, friends). something about the past month had me itching to get the tree down + out a.s.a.p. normally i'm a please-can-we-leave-it-up-until-after-the-first-of-the-year girl, ... but not this year. nope. a return to calm was in order. and achieved along with 10 (ten!) loads of laundry*.
day two (today) involved my studio, which had sadly become the catch-all for things needing to be hidden or tucked out of sight over the past month. and with the girls drawing at my feet all morning + into the early afternoon, our mission was accomplished.
i feel better already. what are you up to today? xoxo
*of the aforementioned 10 loads of laundry, 9 still need to be folded + put away. perhaps with a movie + pot of peppermint tea later this evening. maybe. that's precious knitting time, after all.
