in 3 days! from the moment i saw the pattern here, i was smitten, knowing it would be the perfect mid-season stashbuster. made from odd bits of cascade 220, plymouth galway and i think even a bit of ella rae classic, providing just the right amount of warmth where it is needed without overheating my active little people. aside from all that color in there, i made only two minor modifications to the original pattern, making four strategically placed K2tog and K2togTBL on each sleeve as i was casting off, which avoided the rolled edges and resulted in pretty little cap sleeves. and then i did a simple seed stitch hem at the waist, again so as not to roll the edge
as you can see in my bin of oddball wool, we have plenty leftover and i am certain there are a few more variations on this theme in our future. good stuff, very quick to knit, and supereasy - a great project for beginners who are ready to move beyond scarves.
but maybe just maybe make your first one in a solid color and save yourself the agony of weaving in all those ends - trust me. that there is love, i tell you. xoxo
