DIY :: patchwork wreath

go ahead, make yourself a handstitched patchwork wreath - it is totally cozy, totally understated, and totally says "hello, Fall."

DIY :: patchwork wreath

made using a few simple items :: fabric + thread + love.  the FREE tutorial is over in the freebie DIY section on my sidebar.  i made a few of these for sale last fall and am starting to think we need a few of our own around here.  immediately, in fact - they really make me feel autumn, you know?

and if you are interested but haven't the materials on hand, hop on over to and check out the kits available in the shop.  i am so fond of recycling/repurposing materials like this - originally clothing and feedsacks, and then having remaining useful bits worked into a quilt top only to be abandoned in a dusty chest of drawers out in the countryside for decades until sweet serendipity introduced us a while back. it's exciting to revive these gems, allowing them to transcend the restrictions of wear and tear that time has put upon them.

that's what it's all about - pretty things made from pretty old things.  enjoy!  xoxo
