trying new things. i've always enjoyed trying something new. be it a new sport, instrument, food, city, whatever. and my passion for arts & crafts knows no different. i've knit for over 20 years and learned to sew before that (thanks to my quilting mama and mrs. alden in 8th grade home ec); but during that time, i've also found love for new areas of creative refreshment - printmaking, bookbinding & pottery to name a few.
and so it goes with a fun little afternoon project entertaining my girly side making glossy lip balm. all natural, creamy & moisturizing. i just love the little pots they're in and the scent-oh-the-scent! aromatic layers of apple, cinnamon, maple, vanilla, and even pumpkin emanate such a waltonsesque scenario, so i've named it "warm pie". these five little gems are here - you need to treat yourself to a bit of kissable nostaligia.
the entire shop will switch gears on monday - everything that's there is going byebye to make way for my fall wares. i am really excited to share it all with you, my people! that's why i've put all of my stoneware 20% off through sunday - if you've been eyeing a piece of my pottery, take this opportunity to get it on sale. and i'm including all the pieces in my pottery photo gallery as well, so if something there interests you, leave a comment about which piece and i'll email you directly with details.
and thanks for the great feedback about the return of monday night recipes - more to come next week!
